Campbellsburg, Ind. (November 3, 2011) — Campbellsburg native Brady Bishop has joined Brodbeck Seeds as Associate District Sales Manager serving the Washington and Orange County area.
Bishop was raised on a grain and cattle farm and has been active in agriculture throughout his life. He was a 10-year member of 4-H and held several leadership offices with the West Washington chapter of FFA, in addition to serving on FFA judging teams.
Bishop is a graduate of Purdue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in agribusiness management. While at Purdue, Bishop participated in two agricultural internships with a large seed company and spent a summer working with a wheat harvest operation in the western U.S. He also worked part-time for Brodbeck Seeds.
Bishop says his new position allows him to blend his passion for agriculture with his interest in the business of farming. “Working at Brodbeck, I’m able to be involved in the technology side of agriculture while working with farmers on daily field issues and concerns that affect their business,” he said.
Brodbeck Seeds General Manager Jim Engelberth noted that Bishop’s broad background in agriculture makes him an asset to the Brodbeck Seeds team. “Brodbeck Seeds is committed to understanding not just the science behind our product, but addressing the practical business decisions farmers must make every day. Brady’s background in farming allows him to help farmers manage a constantly changing business,” Engelberth said.
