Brodbeck Seeds Donation to Benefit Columbia City High School FFA

Columbia City, Ind. (May 16, 2015) — Brodbeck Seeds and Columbia City farmer Clay Geiger recently presented the Columbia City High School FFA chapter with a $500 donation. The chapter depends on fundraising and donations in order to stay active. They plan to apply the donation toward learning opportunities that will serve the community.

“It’s not necessarily the monetary amount that means the most to us; it is knowing that farmers and others in our community support us and the future of agriculture in Columbia City,” said Brett Roberts, Columbia City High School FFA president.

The donation originated from a Brodbeck Seeds raffle drawing held at the 2015 Fort Wayne Farm Show. The drawing has become an integral and recurring part of Brodbeck Seeds’ participation at the show.

Geiger is no stranger to the Columbia City High School FFA. His three sons were all part of the organization when they were in high school. “These students are the future of American agriculture and our food supply,” Geiger said. “We need to do whatever we can to support them and what they do for our community and the industry.”
