Fort Wayne, IN (April 11, 2016) – Carroll High School’s FFA chapter received a $500 donation from Brodbeck Seeds on Wednesday, March 30. The chapter plans to use the donation to purchase materials to aid in its community service project.
Each spring the chapter performs a community service project, and they are excited to have a donation to help fund it.
“Our community service projects are usually us building and installing ramps or other items to help make houses or buildings more accessible for disabled or special needs people in our community,” says Carroll FFA member, Carly Kenseth.
The donation stems from a drawing at the Brodbeck Seeds booth during the 2016 Fort Wayne Farm Show. Raffle winner and Churubusco farmer, Matt Green, selected Carroll FFA to receive the donation.
Green appreciates that the chapter will be using the donation to help others in the community.
“It’s great to see this chapter being active in the community. Not only in agriculture, but in service projects, too. I’m glad the donation will give them the opportunity to do more.”
