Syracuse, IN (April 11, 2016) – Wawasee High School received a $500 donation from Brodbeck Seeds on Tuesday, March 22. The chapter has been preparing for an ag issues presentation at the Indiana FFA State Convention and plans to use the donation to help fund the trip.
“The ag issues team will be giving a presentation on the practice of no-till at the state convention in June,” says Wawasee FFA member, Bryce Wuthrich. “We have received information from industry professionals and researched pros and cons to the topic.”
The donation originated from a Brodbeck Seeds drawing held at the 2016 Fort Wayne Farm Show. Milford farmer and Brodbeck Seeds ProSeller, Shawn Krull, was the drawing winner and selected Wawasee FFA to receive the donation.
“My fourth-grade son, Charlie, made sure we entered the raffle while we were at the farm show, so the chapter really has him to thank,” Krull says.
Brodbeck Seeds district sales manager, Troy Baer, told the Wawasee FFA chapter students how excited he was that the donation was going to an active FFA chapter within the community.
“Participating in FFA is one of the best things you can do in your high school career,” Baer says. “These students are lucky to be in an active chapter.”
