Brodbeck Seeds Donation to Help Offset Costs for Southmont FFA

Crawfordsville, IN (April 11, 2016) – Brodbeck Seeds presented Southmont High School’s FFA chapter with a $500 donation on Wednesday, March 16. The chapter plans to use the funds for their spring banquet and to send their soils judging team to Oklahoma for the national competition in May.

The donation originated from a Brodbeck Seeds drawing held at the 2015 Indiana-Illinois Farm and Outdoor Equipment Show. Crawfordsville farmer, Mark Burkett, was the drawing winner and selected Southmont FFA to receive the donation.

“Knowing that our community and industry representatives support FFA helps us know that they support the future of the agriculture industry,” says Southmont FFA member, Brayden Gilliland.

Gilliland is the son of Brodbeck Seeds ProSeller, Jason Gilliland.

“It’s great to be associated with a company that supports local FFA chapters,” Jason Gilliland said. “It takes donations and community support for FFA chapters to be successful.”
