Wabash, IN (June 30, 2013) — Wabash County Habitat for Humanity celebrated the completion of its 16th home at a dedication ceremony Sunday, June 30, 2013. This is Wabash County Habitat’s first remodeled home and Brodbeck Seeds was elated to be a part of providing homeownership to a deserving family.

The project was sponsored by Brodbeck Seeds, through the DOW Chemical Company Foundation and Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority. Staff worked alongside homeowners Tina and Lenard Porter, volunteering over 75 hours in the demolition and renovation of the donated home.

Jim Engelberth, Brodbeck Seeds General Manager, led company participation in the project and had the honor of presenting the Porters with the key to their home.

“It’s such an amazing opportunity to be a part of something as special as someone’s home,” Engelberth shared. “It means a great deal to everyone at Brodbeck Seeds to be able to help Habitat for Humanity and we look forward to future opportunities.”

Habitat Director, Steve Miller welcomed everyone and thanked the many volunteers, donors and local businesses that partnered with Habitat to provide yet another affordable homeownership opportunity to a deserving resident of Wabash County.

With tears of joy Tina and Lenard Porter thanked all those who worked so hard to help them reach this goal and invited everyone to tour their new home.
